Municipal Court Clerk
POSITION:
The City of Dalworthington Gardens is accepting applications for the position of Court Clerk. This position provides administrative support to the Municipal Court by processing citations, payments of fines and fees, warrants, cases set on arraignment and trial dockets, and providing customer service to citizens and other City personnel. Administrative support includes assisting during court proceedings frequently held after normal office hours and involves heavy telephone and direct public contact.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Public Administration, Government or a related field plus two years of municipal court clerk experience. Court Clerk work in municipal court environment may be substituted for years of service up to the required 4 years of education. The Candidate must be computer literate, specifically proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Windows, and InCode. The position requires strong financial skills and the ability to maintain high level reports. Candidate must possess the ability to manage multiple complex processes and projects. A basic knowledge of statutes and penal code as it pertains to municipal court is a fundamental requirement. Bilingual abilities (English – Spanish) is preferred but not required.
SALARY:
$31,200/Annually, TMRS, Health Insurance, Vacation, Sick Leave
